Hello, Welcome to Paper Feathers. So glad you’re here.
Paper Feathers is a family owned business having begun as a small home-based workshop in 2013 in the beautiful tropical island of Sri-Lanka. It is a fully home grown company and we have progressed from our humble beginnings employing just 3 people in 2013 to employing nearly 360 in 2016.
We are Don and Diana, the husband and wife co-founders of Paper Feathers. Born in Sri Lanka, we moved to Canada in 2014. We are very proud of being Canadians, because of the culture, diversity and positive people. It’s a home away from home. We feel very happy and grateful to live in Canada, and today in light of COVID-19, we wanted a sustainable way to give back to our community in Sri Lanka who are less fortunate, while enriching the lives of our fellow Canadians, all while making the world a greener place to live.
We believe that creativity, innovation and community involvement are a catalyst for better business. We believe in a world where everyone takes care of the environment in order to ensure a sustainable future. We believe in leaving behind a sustainable future for our children by making handcrafted products from recycled waste materials. And ultimately, we believe in honesty, and empowering mothers in rural Sri Lanka who make our products with pride.
We are proud to announce today that Paper Feathers provides beautiful collections of eco-friendly, handmade, decorative storage baskets & accessories for you & your home. Woven with recycled newspapers, vibrant colours & unique patterns, we work directly with cooperatives in Sri Lanka to bring you ethical, stylish, accessories with a story, all while doing our part for a sustainable and greener environment, while empowering the lives of rural mothers in Sri Lanka.
The core value of everything we do is honesty, this includes using eco-friendly materials in our products and cooperating together as one big family. The greatest asset in the company are the women, the mothers of our families who make our products with pride.
Our mission is to connect our tradition of family life with a sustainable future for our children by making handcrafted products from recycled waste materials.
We believe in a world where everyone takes care of the environment in order to ensure a sustainable future.
